1. Cows that produce both A1, A2 beta casein protein is called A1 cows.
2. Cows that only produce A2 beta casein is called A2 cow.

Milk and Milk Products are considered as wholesome food, weather we talk about Infants, Children’s, Adults , Elderly or any individual. World over different kinds of Animal Milk is consumed, generally Cow, Buffalo, Goat Sheep and Camel Milk is most common. Out of which Cow and Buffalo Milk is largely consumed in whole world.

The total Milk production (approximately 176.3 million tons) is highest in the world with 190.9 million cattle that is around 12.5% of world cattle population. In India , 49% milk is produced by Buffalo and 46.9% milk is produced by Cattle.

If we talk about Ayurveda medicines production, in it some or the other desi cow product is used.

HOWEVER…

From last few years a particular type of milk is being promoted which is very good for health i.e. A2 Cow Milk Now question comes, what is the difference between A1 and A2 cow?

I would like to tell you, that following a particular type of diet does not change the World nor you can convince anyone. You can see this info for your knowledge, which I gathered and experienced from last few years.

We all know that two types of proteins are found in Milk, one is Whey Protein another is Casein Protein, and almost 80% of protein in Milk is Casein Protein and almost 80% of the protein presnt in the milk is Casein Protein

In all these casein, Beta Casein comes out of all these casein. Bea casein is the second most abundant protein and approximately 45% of the casein present in Cow or Buffalo Milk is Beta Casein. Now when we talk about Beta Casein, there are 13% of Beta Casein in Cow Milk. Difference Genetic Variants are found and out of these, the two most common genetic variants of Beta Casein age A1 and A2 and on the basis of these

genetic variants we name milk A1 or A2. The A2 Varient of Beta Casein is the most common it is considered to be most oldest variant and it is said the all the other variants have been mutated fro this A2.

It is believed that approximately 3000 years ago, all the milk that was there was A2 only, but in Europe at that time, there was some mutations. In this particular type i.e. A2, from which other varients were born. Now the question comes which cow gives A1 milk and which cow gives A2 milk. It is like that some desi cow breeds in india gives A2 milk, being of A2 varient. Desi Cow breeds like Kangayam, Nimari, Red Kandhari, Maalna Gidda, Kheri Garh , Malvi, Amrit Mahal,Kankaj and the top breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, Haryana, Tharparker, Rathi and Red Sindhi.

The most common way to identify such a cow is that A2 cow has a pattern on her back, there is always a hump on the back and the back of the cow that gives A1 milk is the flat.

In Ayurveda it is believed that in Hump, there is a specific type of vein which we call ‘SURYA KETU NADI’ which is not present in A1 cows, and is s special vein or nadi, adsorbs energy from celestial bodies like Sun, Moo n or other planetary bodies. Due to which their milk has a lot of medicinal properties. And so on in milk products like Ghee,

It has been seen in studies that A2 Desi Cow Milk is, the antibodies present in it are very high , due to which it boosts our immunity. Due to the production of A2 milk, the natural Gluta Thione production of our body also increases. Gluta Thione is very important antioxidant in our body.

But a question arises that these are the benefits of A2, but what is the problem with A1 because milk is same and cow is same, then what is the reason A1 milk is not considered good for health.

Casein Protein present in A1 Milk contains variants which are quite Toxic, like B Tac, B7, Morphine 7, BCM 7. Which is linked to multiple health issues like: Diabetes, Autism in kids, sudden infant death syndrome, Ulcerative Colitis, Heart Problems, Parkinson’s etc

A1 is the Casein Protein from BCM found in Milk, whose full form is ‘BETA CASO MORPHIN 7’

It is called ‘DEVIL IN THE MILK’ A book written by KEITH WOODFORD

It is believed the BCM 7 which is present in the Gastrointestinal tract of the human body contains it. There are some receptors which we call MU RECEPTORS, they activate them, these are OPIOD RECEPTORS and the issue of Milk allergy and intolerance in children is due to activation of these receptors. It has been seen in the study that those who are autistic children, children who consume A1 Milk, the amount of BCM 7 in Urine is found 10 times as compared to the children who consume A2 desi cow ghee or milk. Also in children, A1 Milk is more dangerous because their gut is quite permeable and it is not formed fully.

This BCM 7 also leaches into their blood and crosses the blood brain barrier and enters their brain, which increases the chances of developing autism. It is believed that if a child has chances of developing autism or his susceptibility is high, then this is a factor which further increases those chances and this A1 beta casein is present not only in Milk but is all the products made from it. In some studies it is shown that the chances of Cardio Vascular Risk increase a lot with A1 type of Milk because of BCM 7. The studies on ths are mixed, but still there is a strong suggestion to avoid A1 milk, Ghee and milk products and strongly, there are many other strong reasons as we have discussed.

Lactose intolerance is developing a lot over the world, people are not able to digest milk, all those problems are also happening due to A1 milk because it contains A1 beta casein. In comparison to A2, it is very difficult in digestion and in many cases it was seen that people who had lactose intolerance , when they shifted to pure A2 Desi Cow Milk, there intolerance started getting cured to a great extent. With BCM is also linked to excess Mucus production has also been seen to increase in people who consume more A1 milk.

In many countries, when infants are shifted from Mother’s milk to cow’s milk, sometimes there is sudden death. That is why the reason that most pediatricians in India do not recommend cow or buffalo milk. And in studies , when these babies biopsy was done, in their cerebral very high amount of BCM was found inside the spinal fluid and when rmal infants were checked, this problem was not seen in them.

I hope now you have understood the difference between A1 and A2 Cow milk, ghee and rest of the products. All the studies that have been done on both the variants of these two also show, that there is nothing like that, both the milk are the same and there is no major health issue, but majority of the studies are going against A1 Milk and Ghee and of course. A2 is always good and healthy for you and your family.

This was my small effort to make my near and dear ones aware o the facts by gathering some information from all over and share. Do correct me if I am wrong anywhere.
